A storage yard is only as good as its fence, its cameras and its gate. Here is exactly how ours works, in plain English.
The whole yard sits inside a high security fence. There is one way in and one way out, and it is the gate.
Every customer gets a personal gate code on their phone. No shared keys, no codes written on the wall. The gate logs every entry and exit against the code that opened it.
Cameras cover the gate, every driveway and every container door, recording around the clock. Footage is kept, not overwritten in a day.
The yard is lit all night. Well-lit yards get left alone, and you can see what you are doing at 9pm.
You lock your own container and you keep the key. We never hold a key to your unit. Bring a solid padlock, or grab one from us at move-in.
The yard is alarmed and monitored outside of your normal comings and goings. If someone sets it off, it gets a response, not an email.
We walk the yard and check every lock on a schedule. If your lock is missing or damaged, you get a call the same day.
Come and go any hour with your code. Because every visit is logged and on camera, round-the-clock access does not mean round-the-clock risk.
A decent padlock on the container. A hitch lock on anything with a tow ball. Wheel clamp if you want to sleep even better.
Never park or leave anything between the gates, and keep to 10km/h inside the yard. There are people on foot.
No fuel, gas bottles, lithium batteries, chemicals, food, plants or anything living. It keeps your neighbours' gear safe too. Full list on the Tips page.
Only if you leave the door open while a camera is pointed at it. Closed and locked, nobody sees in, including us.
You get a call to check it was you. If a security call-out is needed because of a false alarm, a call-out fee applies, the same as any monitored site.
Your goods are stored at your own risk, like every self-storage yard in Australia. Most home contents policies can cover goods in storage for a few dollars, and we will offer a simple monthly protection plan at opening.
